News flash: Modification of access to Aiguillette des Posettes
Due to a former torrential flood, a municipal by-law prohibits the use of a section of the original 42 km route, between the Tour village and the Posettes ridge. A bypass route will be used to allow the race to run smoothly.
The section concerned is located between km 13.5 and km 18, and starts slightly above the Tour Charamillon gondola lift and joins the Chemin des Ardoisières. The junction with the classic route is around 100 metres below the summit of the aiguillette des Posettes.
The difference in altitude remains the same, but the route has been shortened by around 800 metres. This new itinerary guarantees the safety and fluidity of the race, as a large part of this variant takes place on a wider path than the classic route. We recommend that you follow the signs along the route. The Fan Zone will be located upstream and downstream of the Tour Charamillon gondola lift.
