Young Race Marathon

In 2025, the Young Race Marathon rises a level, in order to become the world's leading trail event for young people (U18 and U20).


Discover this new format:
🏁 The start will be given on Saturday June 28, 2025 at 3:00pm at Place du Triangle de l'Amitié, in Chamonix.
👟 300 race bibs will be available for the U18 (16-17 years-old) and U20 (18-19 years-old) age categories.
📍 Two distinct courses according to the age category: more technical, with a start/finish in the center of Chamonix.
🏆 For the two U20 winners (male and female): a New Balance athlete contract at stake, our new partner. It's the perfect opportunity to join a team.
🎉 Lots of prizes to be won at the prize-giving ceremony and tombola.
💃🕺 To round off the day, a party will be organized on Saturday evening especially for the runners.

This race fully embodies our mission as a sports association: to encourage young people to discover and flourish through sport. Take up the challenge of the Young Race Marathon 2025! 🌟

Bibs pick-up

Bibs pick-up for the Young Race Marathon will be possible by appointment only, at the EMC2 space on Place du Mont-Blanc (Chamonix):

  • Thursday June 26, 2025 from 9am to 9pm,
  • Friday June 27, 2025 from 9am to 9pm,
  • Saturday June 28, 2025 from 7:30am to 1pm.

Runners must present photo ID and their race bag containing all compulsory equipment, to enable a timing chip to be fitted and equipment to be checked.

No bibs will be issued to runners without their compulsory equipment and identity papers.

Compulsory equipment

  • Cell phone in working order.
  • Minimum 0.50-liter water supply.
  • Waterproof jacket with hood (gore-tex type) adapted to your size.
  • Survival blanket (140cm x 200cm).
  • Whistle.
  • Tumbler.

Recommended equipment

According to weather conditions:

  • Cap.
  • Tights.
  • Gloves.

Maximum times for each race:

Runners crossing the finish line after the maximum race time will not be classified and therefore not considered as finishers. This maximum time is calculated according to the start time of your wave.

Young Race Marathon U20: maximum race time 3h00

 

The organizers remind racers that, depending on the systems and settings used, GPX tracks may give different results for race distances and elevation gains.
