Getting to Chamonix

Let's use eco-friendly transport to get to the Mont Blanc Marathon!

As residents of the valley, we are daily witnesses to climate change. The event's carbon footprint, calculated by AIR Coop in 2023, is indisputable: 96% of the event's carbon footprint comes from transporting runners and their companions to Chamonix.

To reduce this figure, we strongly encourage you to choose more environmentally-friendly modes of transport. Thanks to you, we're taking another step towards a more responsible event, and together we're becoming agents of change.

Reminder of measures for 2025:

  • Bib numbers reserved: 40% of bib numbers are reserved for participants who come by train or bus.
  • Mandatory carbon offsetting: carbon offsetting becomes systematic and proportional to travel.
