What should I plan before coming to Chamonix?

  • Choose a race suited to your physical abilities and training possibilities,
  • Read the event rules and regulations,
  • Finalize your registration and complete your file within the compulsory deadlines (registration fee, payment of carbon compensation, PPS number, proof of address, proof of transport if applicable...),
  • Take out personal accident insurance as indicated in the regulations. You can subscribe one via Assur Connect: Subscribe to insurance
  • Prepare your arrival in Chamonix (transport, accommodation, etc.)
  • Make an appointment to collect your race number,
  • Make sure you're properly equipped and that you have the compulsory equipment for your race,
  • Keep updated with any changes about the program and regulations by regularly checking the website and your emails.
  • And of course, train to be ready on D-day!

What should I do during my race?

  • Respect the race rules,
  • Adopt eco-responsible behavior and take care of the environment,
  • Respect volunteers, organizers, runners, companions, local residents... to ensure a friendly atmosphere!
  • Respect and apply the organizers' decisions,
  • Evolve according to your personal abilities, without basing yourself on other competitors,
  • Make sure you stay hydrated and eat regularly (test this during your training sessions!),
  • Bring a small sum of money and your identity papers to carry with you if necessary,
  • Don't forget to have fun and enjoy the exceptional views all around you!

And after the race?

  • Be proud of your performance, finisher or not!
  • A few hours after the race, stretch well to help your muscles recover,
  • Take some rest by limiting intense physical activity for a few days,
  • Sleep well, stay hydrated and eat well!
