Registrations 2025
Save the date!
As announced in the spring, the environmental impact analysis carried out by the Aircoop agency in 2023 revealed that 96% of the Mont Blanc Marathon's carbon footprint is linked to the transport of participants and their companions. This year, in order to reduce this figure, 40% of race numbers will be allocated to participants coming by train, and carbon offsetting of participants' journeys (home/Chamonix) will be mandatory. All the information and procedures relating to these new features will soon be available online.
In the meantime, don't miss the two registration phases:
Duo Etoilé, 23km, 42km and 90km : races subject to draw
Runners wishing to take part in the Duo Etoilé, the 90km, the 42km, or the 23km du Mont-Blanc must first register for a draw (free of charge) , which will run from Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. until Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.
It is only possible to register for one of the 4 races entered in the draw, either as a group or as an individual (group registration does not improve chances of being drawn). The results of the draw will then be communicated by email to all registrants on Monday, November 18, 2024. The selected runners will then have to finalize their registration and the payment of their race number before Friday November 29, 2024 at 12:00 pm. A specific procedure will be sent to them by email.
Group registration: It is possible to pre-register as a group for the 90km, 42km or 23km Mont-Blanc.
- Group registrations must be for the same race (minimum 2 people and maximum 10 people per group).
- In the case of the draw for race numbers reserved for runners who commit to coming by train, all group members must choose the train mode of transport (for example, it is not possible to have a group made up of 2 people who commit to coming by train and 2 people who choose another mode of transport such as the car).
The only advantage of registering as a group is to have the same draw result for all group members, whether positive or negative. The probability of being drawn is the same for all riders. Each group member must fill in the "group code" information on the registration form. The code must be created by the 1st member of the group to register and then passed on to the other members of the group.
Please be careful when entering the group code: in the event of a code error, group members will not be grouped together under the same group. We recommend that you do not enter spaces or special characters.
10km, Kilomètre Vertical, Young Race Marathon and Mini-Cross : Entries without a draw while places last.
Runners wishing to take part in the 10km du Mont-Blanc, Kilomètre Vertical, Young Race Marathon or Mini-Cross can register without a draw for one or more races, while places last. Registration opens on Wednesday November 20 at 9:00 am.
Registration for the Mont Blanc Marathon races is online only, with payment by credit card.
Choosing your race
The Mont Blanc Marathon races take place in the mountains, on technical courses that can have a significant vertical drop. To take part in these races, it is recommended that you have good experience of mountain running, are comfortable on all types of terrain and can run independently for several hours.
We also remind you that it is generally considered that 100m of positive ascent corresponds to 1km of additional running. For example: the 42km Mont-Blanc race has a positive altitude difference of 2540m, which corresponds to a distance of 42km + 25km, i.e. 67km. We therefore insist on the importance of taking the altitude difference into account before choosing your race.
